To replace the windshield wiper motor the first step is to remove the cable of the negative terminal. Thirdly, unscrew the wiper arm retaining nuts, the right wiper arm has two nuts while the right has one only. Remember to locate the position of the wiper arm to its shaft before removing it while the removal of the cowl cover is made next. Pull a tab to open the slide lock, press on the release tab and remove the electrical connection to the windshield wiper motor. Disconnect the clip of the right wiper drive link socket bushing placed on the ballstud of the wiper motor crank arm by using a flat blade trim removal tool screwdriver and the same to the sleeve bushing of the left wiper drive link. Yank the nut on the right side of the crank arm and free it from the windshield wiper motor shaft, and be sure to make your alignments so that you can refasten them in the right positions; Next, remove the bolts that support the wiper motor and take out the motor from its supporting bracket. For the rear wiper motor you should first disconnect the cable of the negative terminal of the battery and then, carefully, remove the trim cap from the rear wiper arm together with its retaining nut. Attached the rear wiper arm to the wiper motor shaft and to cancel the spring tension, rotated the wiper arm in such a way, that it is hinged towards you before it is removed. Then, detach the rear lift gate trim panel, pull the electrical connector of the rear wiper motor and lastly, to remove the motor, the mounting bolts need to be undone.
