A: Rear coil springs are utilized on Durango models only. Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands placed under the frame rails. Support the rear axle with a floor jack placed under the axle tube on the side being worked on. Don't raise the axle - just support its weight. Remove the lower shock absorber fastener. Also detach the stabilizer bar links from the stabilizer bar. Remove the bellcrank mounting bolt on the rear differential cover. Lower the jack to lower the rear axle and then remove the coil spring. Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to tighten all fasteners to the torque.
