For link/coil suspension, measure distance, loosen nut, disconnect tie-rod end, lubricate threaded portion, insert ball stud, tighten nut, tighten adjuster clamp bolts. To remove and install drag link, loosen lug nuts, remove nut from ball stud, disconnect tie-rod ends, reverse removal for installation. For Pitman arm, remove drag link nut, disconnect drag link, remove nut and washer, mark for alignment, reverse removal for installation. To inspect steering damper, check for fluid leakage and wear, test for smooth resistance, replace if necessary by removing mounting bolts and nuts, separating from tie-rod and axle, installing new damper, tightening fasteners.
