After that, remove the cowl cover and disconnect the electrical connector from the windshield wiper motor by pushing the slide lock to the right, depressing the release tab, and pulling off the connector. Detach the bushing of the right wiper drive link from the ballstud by carefully prying them apart with a trim removal tool or a screwdriver, and do the same for the sleeve bushing of the left wiper drive link. Remove the crank arm retaining nut from the windshield wiper motor shaft, making alignment marks on the arm and shaft for correct installation later, then remove the windshield wiper motor mounting bolts and take out the motor from the mounting bracket.
