How to Replace the Coolant Expansion Tank?

To replace the coolant expansion tank, begin by draining the cooling system and disconnecting the hoses from the tank. For four-cylinder models, remove the tank by taking off the mounting nuts from the firewall. For V6 models with a non-pressurized tank, disconnect the battery cable and remove the fasteners to detach the coolant/windshield washer reservoir assembly from the radiator support. For pressurized, remove the expansion tank by taking off the bracket nuts. Finally, reinstall the tank and refill the cooling system.
