Jeep Wagoneer Leaf Spring Bushing Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to inspect and replace rubber bushings in Jeep Wagoneer?
A: Inspect rubber bushings in spring eyes for cracks, damage, and looseness indicating wear. To check, remove weight from the spring bushing, and pry the spring eye to check for movement. If there's significant movement, replace the bushing. Remove the spring and use threaded rods to press out the bushings. Insert the rod through the bushing, place a socket over one end as a driver, and install a washer and nut on the rod behind the socket. Install a pipe as a receiver, secured with a washer and nut. Install the new bushing on the rod, align the tools, press the new bushing into position, and check its alignment.
