Q: How to replace the PCV valve and PCV Hose on Jeep Wrangler?
A: The PCV valve is found in the valve cover top in inline engines, left-side valve cover in 3.BLV6, and rear of the right-side valve cover in 3.6L V6. For inline and 3.8L V6 engines, remove the valve from its grommet and hose, noting its position. In the 3.8L engine, it's near the ignition coil pack. For 3.6L V6, loosen the hose clamp, remove screws, and pull the valve from the right valve cover. Inspect the rubber grommet or 0-ring for damage and replace if needed. Secure the valve and hose into position and tighten screws for 3.6L V6. Later Inline six-cylinder models use a CCV system with a rubber fitting connected to the intake manifold by a plastic hose. If there's no vacuum, clean the hose and fitting orifice, or replace if damaged. Securely install the fitting and hose in the valve cover.
