How to check and replace a transmission mount on Ram 3500?

Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Insert a large screwdriver or prybar into the space between the transmission extension housing and the crossmember and try to pry the transmission up slightly to check the transmission mount. The transmission should not move much at all and the rubber in the center of the mount should fully insulate the center of the mount from the mount bracket around it. To replace the mount, remove the bolts or nuts attaching the mount to the crossmember and the bolts attaching the mount to the transmission. Raise the transmission slightly with a jack and remove the mount. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Tighten all fasteners securely.
