    Q:
How do you remove and install the antenna and cables on Dodge Dakota? Posted by Customer
    A:
To disassemble the antenna mast, it can be turned counter clockwise with an open-end wrench, installation is a reversal of the above. There are two antenna cables: the antenna mast cable links the antenna mast with the instrument panel antenna cable below the right end of the instrument panel, after which the instrument panel antenna cable goes to the radio. First of all, take out the right-side kick panel, further, the cable harness responsible for the antennae mast's coaxial connector must be disconnected from the instrument panel cable connector. Apply some looseness to the right front wheel lug nuts, lift the car using the jackstands and remove the right front wheel. Third, remove the splash shield from the right front wheel housing and with needle-nose pliers, un-clip the antenna mast cable from the panel but remember to first take off the grommet. There then with the help of the antenna wrench one should unscrew the cap nut at the end of an antenna mounting base until it can be removed, and the final step is removing the antenna mounting base adapter which is usually at the top part of the fender. Slide the bottom of the antenna mounting base down through the mounting hole in the fender, yank out the grommet and extract the antenna cable. For the instrument panel antenna cable, there is depression screw driving technique which involves; First you have to unscrew the cable from the mast, then you will use a flashlight and a mirror to reach the back of the glove compartment where the clips which hold the cable are found. Pull the radio out and free the instrument panel antenna cable at its back, then extrude the previous cable through the radio mounting gap; installation is the procedure in reverse of that.

    Q:
How to remove and install the grid-type antenna on a Dodge Charger? Posted by Customer
    A:
The antenna, integrated into the rear window glass, must be replaced by a professional if faulty. For sedans, the antenna module is inside the right C-pillar. Remove the C-pillar trim, disconnect the two module connectors and the coaxial cable, then remove the module. Reinstall in reverse order. For wagons, the module is inside the liftgate. Remove the trim panel, disconnect the two module connectors and the coaxial cable, then remove the module. Reinstall in reverse order.
