Before commencing start by placing the transmission in park, apply parking brake or block the rear wheels and disable the ignition system. Remove the valve cover(s). Separate and put away rocker arms and lash adjusters properly labeled. Rotate engine's crankshaft clockwise until pistons are at their correct positions. Remove rocker arms from cylinders 2, 6, 1, 3 and 5 of V6 engines.Remove rocker arms from cylinders 2,8 ,3 ,5 ,4 ,6 ,1 and 7 of V8 engines.Depress the valve spring using a valve spring compressor then pull out a rocker arm.In case you are replacing or removing just several adjusters or rockers arm then turn your crankshaft into proper position only.keep them with matching groups of them.Once the rocker arms are removed, pull out the lash adjusters and store them with the corresponding rocker arm.Examine if there is wear cracks or damages on such parts like Rocker Arms And Lash Adjusters.Start by installing oil filled Lash Adjustors first but not fully full.
