    How do you prepare the heater/air conditioner assembly for removal from the engine compartment for the 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan? Posted by Customer

    From the engine compartment, drain the cooling system and disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core pipes. Plug the pipes to avoid spilling coolant inside the vehicle. Unplug the electrical connector and disconnect the refrigerant lines from the expansion valve at the firewall on the right side of the vehicle. Seal the refrigerant lines to prevent contamination. Remove the expansion valve from the evaporator plate. Seal the valve to avoid contamination. Remove the condensate drain tube.
