You should ensure that the transaxle bracket does not move away from the mount; if it does, the mount should be replaced.

Remove the bolt to separate the transmission mount from the chassis, with the nut accessible through a hole behind the wheel assembly.

The right and left engine mounts are adjustable to allow drivetrain movement in relation to driveaxle assembly length, and adjustments should be made when servicing the driveaxles, after front end structural damage, or when replacing a mount.

1. Remove the load on the engine mounts by carefully supporting the engine and transaxle assembly with a floor jack. 2. Loosen the right insulator vertical fasteners and the front engine mount bracket-to-front crossmember bolts and nuts. 3. The left engine mount insulator is sleeved over the shaft and long support bolt to provide lateral movement adjustment. 4. Pry the engine right or left as required to achieve the proper driveaxle length. 5. Securely tighten the right engine mount insulator vertical bolts, the front engine mount bolts and nuts, and center the left engine mount insulator. 6. Finally, recheck the driveaxle length.

The transaxle should be supported with a jack when replacing the mount.

Remove the bolt to separate the front engine mount from the block, noting that the starter must be removed for access.
