    Q:
How to Install a Receiver-Drier in an Automotive Air Conditioning System on Dodge Challenger? Posted by Customer
    A:
To begin, have an automotive air conditioning technician discharge the air conditioning system. Then, disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal, making sure to disconnect the Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS) connector first if applicable. Next, remove the front bumper cover and the A/C accumulator mounting fastener. Pull the A/C accumulator out of the condenser fitting, removing and discarding the O-ring seals. Plug all open fittings to prevent dirt and moisture from entering. Install the A/C accumulator back into the condenser fitting using new O-ring seals. If a new A/C accumulator is being installed, add 1 oz (30 ml) of new refrigerant oil to it. Finally, complete the installation by reversing the removal process. Once finished, take the vehicle to a shop to have the air conditioning system evacuated, charged, and leak tested.
