    The battery temperature sensor, if equipped, is under the battery, in the battery tray. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Remove the battery. Disengage the battery temperature sensor from the battery tray by squeezing the two locking tangs together and pulling it straight up through its mounting hole in the tray. Disconnect the electrical connector from the battery temperature sensor and remove the sensor. To reinstall, switch the removal steps going from the last step to the first step.

    The battery temperature sensor is on the battery tray. To access it, remove the battery and lift up a flap on the floor of the battery tray. It is secured to the tray with a pair of locking tabs. Squeeze the tabs together, lift up the flap, pull the sensor up through the hole in the tray and disconnect the electrical connector. Install the wave washer before putting in the sensor when reinstalling.
