    Loosen the wheel lug nuts, release the parking brake, and raise the rear of the vehicle, securing it on jackstands. Remove the rear wheels, then proceed to remove the rear brake caliper and caliper mounting bracket. Take off the brake disc, and if it's challenging to remove, ensure the parking brake is fully released, apply penetrating oil at the hub-to-disc joint, and retract the parking brake shoes using the adjusting wheel. Detach the parking brake cable behind the brake assembly to facilitate disassembly. For better access, you can also remove the axle (both methods are correct). Clean the parking brake shoe assembly with brake system cleaner and follow the accompanying photos for the shoe replacement procedure, making sure to work on one brake assembly at a time. Replace all four parking brake shoes simultaneously. Check the parking brake surfaces of the disc hub for any issues, and replace the disc if necessary. After installing the new parking brake shoes and reassembling the brake discs and calipers, adjust the shoes using the star wheel and check the brake operation. Finally, operate the parking brake lever several times to adjust the cables and carefully test the brakes before normal use.
