    Q:
How do you remove and install a radio and speakers on Dodge Challenger? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the radio, first disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal, then remove the instrument panel center bezel. Next, take out the radio mounting screws and pull the radio out of the dash, disconnecting the antenna cable and electrical connectors. Installation is the reverse of removal. For door speakers, again disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal, remove the door trim panel, and take out the four speaker mounting screws before pulling out the speaker and disconnecting the electrical connector, with installation being the reverse. For instrument panel speakers in 2011 and earlier models, disconnect the negative battery terminal, remove the speaker cover, take out the speaker mounting screws, and pull out the speaker while disconnecting the electrical connector. In 2012 and later models, remove the A-pillar trim panels and the defroster grille panel before proceeding with the same steps. For rear speakers in sedans, disconnect the negative battery terminal, remove the upper and lower C-pillar trim from both sides, and the rear shelf trim, then take out the rear speaker mounting screws, pull out the speaker, and disconnect the electrical connector. In wagons, disconnect the negative battery terminal, remove the screw from the speaker bezel, carefully pry the bezel up, and release the spring clips. Pass the seat belt through the bezel slit, move the bezel forward, remove the rear speaker mounting screws, pull out the speaker, and disconnect the electrical connector. For subwoofers, if equipped, located behind the rear seat under the rear shelf trim, follow the procedure for replacing a rear speaker.
