Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the air intake duct and the air resonator box. Disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle body. Remove the large rubber gasket that seals the connection between the throttle body and the air resonator box. Inspect the gasket for cracks, tears, and deterioration. Replace if damaged. Remove the four throttle body mounting bolts and remove the throttle body. Remove the throttle body's O-ring type gasket and inspect it for cracks, tears, and deterioration. Replace if damaged. Wipe off the gasket mating surfaces of the throttle body and the intake manifold.
