    Regularly inspect wiper blades for cracks and evidence of decay. Use a mild detergent to clean off-road film which impairs their effectiveness. Additionally, make sure that the retaining nuts of the wiper arms are checked and tightened where necessary. To do this, remove the cover plate and inspect the mounting nut. Press the release lever to remove the blade assembly from the wiper arm. Then, push out the wiper element from the arm. At one end of its frame is attached a rubber element. Push in on a lock feature of some kind so that you can take it off. The installation procedure is exactly reversed except for making sure that both the rubber element and blade assembly are secure before reinstalling it.
