To remove the mechanical fan and clutch assembly, you should first disconnect the negative battery cable. Then, remove the fan shroud mounting screws and lift the shroud until it clears the slots in the bottom bracket of the radiator. Push the shroud over the fan. Next, remove the nuts attaching the fan/clutch assembly to the water pump hub. Carefully lift the fan/clutch assembly out of the engine compartment.

How do you remove the evaporator core for the 2007 Jeep Wrangler? Posted by Customer
A:
First have the air conditioning system discharged and disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. On 1997 and later models, drain the cooling system. Disconnect the inlet and receiver/drier-to-evaporator hoses. Remove the retaining screws, hose clamps, and dash grommet. On older models, lower the evaporator housing from the instrument panel's lower edge. On 1997 and later models, remove the HVAC housing from the firewall and release the clips securing the upper and lower halves of the housing. Lower the evaporator housing from the dash panel and remove it from the vehicle. Finally, remove the retaining screws and pull the evaporator core straight out of the housing.
