    Q:
How do I remove and install a front hub/bearing assembly on Chrysler 200? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the hub/bearing assembly, start by loosening the driveaxle/hub nut and the wheel lug nuts. Then, raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the wheel and hub nut. Next, remove the brake caliper, caliper mounting bracket, brake disc, and backing plate from the hub. Disconnect the ABS wheel speed sensor from the knuckle. Remove the hub/bearing assembly mounting bolts from the rear of the steering knuckle. Finally, remove the hub/bearing assembly from the steering knuckle. To install the hub/bearing assembly, ensure that the mounting surfaces inside the steering knuckle and on the driveaxle splines are smooth and free of burrs and nicks. Lubricate the driveaxle splines with multi-purpose grease and install the hub/bearing assembly onto the driveaxle and into the steering knuckle until it is seated. Then, install the hub/bearing assembly-to-steering knuckle bolts and tighten them equally in a criss-cross pattern. Install the driveaxle/hub nut and tighten it. Install the brake disc, caliper mounting bracket, and caliper, and tighten the fasteners. Finally, install the wheel and lug nuts, remove the jackstands, and lower the vehicle. Tighten the lug nuts.
