    How to Replace the Blower Motor Resistor or Power Module and Blower Motor Assembly on Chrysler Town & Country? Posted by Customer

    Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Remove the glove box. Disconnect the electrical connectors for the blower motor resistor or power module. Remove the mounting fasteners and withdraw the unit from the heater/air conditioning housing. Installation is the reverse of removal. Disconnect the electrical connector for the blower motor from the resistor or power module. Disconnect the recirculation door actuator electrical connector, remove the mounting fasteners and then remove the actuator. Remove the air intake housing cover mounting fasteners. Push the blower motor wiring rubber grommet through the hole in the air intake housing cover. Continue to feed the wires into the hole along with the electrical connector. Carefully remove the air intake housing cover. Carefully move the recirculation air door, as necessary, to remove the three screws securing the blower motor assembly to the housing. Gently flex the recirculation air door far enough to remove the blower motor assembly from the lower half of the housing and then remove the assembly. Installation is the reverse of removal. Remove the right rear trim panel. Disconnect the electrical connector for the blower motor resistor or power module. Remove the mounting fasteners and withdraw the unit from the heater/air conditioning housing. Installation is the reverse of removal. Removal of the rear heater/air conditioning housing is necessary to replace the blower motor assembly. The blower motor and blower wheel are balanced to each other at the factory and replaced as an assembly only. Remove the rear heater/air conditioning housing. Remove the three blower motor mounting screws on the rear of the housing. Remove the blower motor from the housing. Installation is the reverse of removal.
