    Q:
How to Replace the Throttle Position Sensor on Dodge Durango? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the Throttle Position (TP) sensor, disconnect the battery cable and remove the air intake duct and resonator box. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor and remove the mounting screws. Take out the sensor and ensure the locating tangs fit over the flat end of the throttle shaft. If the sensor fits flush and can be rotated, it has been correctly installed. Reverse the steps for installation.

    Q:
Where is the Throttle Position Sensor Located on Jeep Liberty? Posted by Customer
    A:
The throttle position sensor is located on the throttle body at the end of the throttle shaft. It monitors the output voltage to determine fuel delivery based on throttle valve angle. A broken or loose sensor can cause fuel bursts and an unstable idle. To remove the sensor, first remove the air intake duct/resonator. Then, disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor. On newer models, there is only one large electrical connector at the throttle body. Remove the mounting screws and take out the sensor. When installing the sensor, align the socket locating tangs with the throttle shaft and apply slight tension. If needed, install the sensor with the tangs on the other side of the shaft. The rest of the installation is the reverse of removal.

    Q:
How to Remove and Install the Throttle Position Sensor on Jeep Grand Cherokee? Posted by Customer
    A:
This procedure is applicable to 3.7L V6 and 4.7L V8 engines, excluding Hemi engines and 3.6L V6 engines with the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) system. The ETC system does not utilize a removable TP sensor. To begin, disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Next, remove the air intake duct and the air resonator box. Proceed by disconnecting the electrical connector from the TP sensor and removing the TP sensor mounting screws. Take out the TP sensor from the throttle body. When installing the TP sensor on the throttle body, ensure that the locating tangs on the backside of the TP sensor align with each side of the flat end of the throttle shaft. The sensor should fit flush against the throttle body and be able to rotate a few degrees to align the mounting holes. If not, reposition the locating tangs correctly and try again. Finally, reverse the steps for installation.

    A:
Remove the throttle body and the pressure regulator mounting screws. Remove the housing, spring, spring seats, diaphragm, and pivot. Clean the housing and reinstall the components, ensuring the diaphragm vent hole aligns with the throttle body and housing vent holes. After replacing the regulator and installing the throttle body, check for leaks and adjust the fuel pressure.
