    Q:
How do you disconnect and install the radio and speakers on Chrysler PT Cruiser? Posted by Customer
    A:
Remove the cable from the 'minus' terminal of the battery. Unscrew the lower center dash console to access the radio, unscrew the back of the radio and disconnect the electronics connectors and a combined electric connector/antenna. Removing installation is quite easy and simple and basically it is the same procedure as installation although in the vice-versa order. Door speakers has to: first of all for this you have to remove the door trim panel, then you have to undo the screws of the speakers and then disconnect the electrical connector and the antenna lead of the speakers and in the end you will have to take the speakers out of the car. Removal is simply the reverse of installation. To take out the dash speakers, the instrument panel top cover should be taken off, then the screws should be removed from the speaker, lift the speaker up and pull the electrical connector. Removal is the converse of installation. For the rear speakers, you have to work, taking out the trim panel and unscrewing the speakes' place and, finally, disconnecting the electrical connector. Removal is similar to installation as a process, only that it is done in the opposite order.

    A:
To remove the negative battery cable, take off the radio trim bezel with a trim tool. Remove the radio screws and pull out the radio. Disconnect the connectors and antenna lead, and remove the radio. For speakers, remove the door trim panel and speaker screws to disconnect the front door speakers. To remove the panel speakers, take off the panel top cover and speaker screws, then disconnect the speakers. Installation is the reverse of removal.
