How to Replace the Rear Shock Absorbers on a Dodge Ram 3500? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the rear shock absorbers on a vehicle, start by raising the rear of the vehicle and supporting it securely on jack stands placed under the frame rails. Remove the nut and bolt that attaches the upper end of the shock absorber to the frame, and if necessary, apply penetrating oil to loosen any rust.

    A:

    Q:
How can you check the shock absorbers for the 2016 Ram 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
To check the shock absorbers, park the vehicle on level ground, turn off the engine, and set the parking brake. Push down at one corner of the vehicle and release it, noting the movement of the body. It should stop moving and come to rest in a level position within one or two bounces. If the vehicle continues to move up-and-down or fails to return to its original position, a worn or weak shock absorber is likely the reason. Repeat this check at each of the three remaining corners of the vehicle.

    Q:
How do you install the new shock absorber for the 2013 Ram 2500? Posted by Customer

Extend the new shock absorber as far as possible and install new rubber grommets into the shock absorber eyes. Finally, install the new shock absorber by reversing the removal process and tightening the shock absorber mounting fasteners.

    Q:
How should the reinstallation of the shock absorber be carried out for the 2011 Ram 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
During the reinstallation of the shock absorber, make sure to follow these steps in reverse order. Ensure that all fasteners are tightened properly to ensure the shock absorber's secure installation.

    Q:
Could you describe the steps for removing the shock absorbe for the 2016 Ram 3500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Certainly. For 4WD models with a solid front axle, start by loosening the driveaxle/hub nut and wheel lug nuts on 1500 4WD models. Then, raise the front of the vehicle and securely support it on jackstands. Proceed by removing the wheel, followed by the three upper shock absorber mounting nuts and the lower shock absorber mounting nut and bolt. You'll also need to remove the brake caliper and disc. Additionally, detach the wheel speed sensor from the steering knuckle and upper control arm, detach the upper balljoint from the steering knuckle, and detach the stabilizer link from the lower control arm. Finally, remove the driveaxle/hub nut and pull the top of the knuckle out to remove the shock absorber/coil spring assembly.
