To complete the detaching of the air inlet resonator you need to remove the bolts that hold the resonator to the manifold. On the 2.0L four-cylinder and V6 engines, you will find the resonator connected to the manifold; therefore, you will have to start by dismantling the bolts that connect the resonator to the manifold. For the four-cylinder engines, turn the clamp screw anti-clockwise to release the resonator from the throttle body; with the resonator still attached, remove the air ducting clamp at the air filter box. For V6 engines, there are air ducts connected to the air filter box and the throttle body; unfasten the clamps here and remove it along with the fitted resonator. Installation is carried out in the reverse order as removal and the figures are interchangeable. Denis and Nikitin, for the air filter box for one, unscrew the air duct clamp and remove the air duct from the top cover of the air filter box, and for the second, remove the top cover of the air filter and the air filter element. Still, it is vital to next relieve the three screw tension clamps whereby fixing the air filter lower housing to the inner fender panel and at this point, it is relevant to pull off the air inlet duct at the front of the housing from the engine compartment. Installation is basically the reverse of removal and includes cleaning the lower housing for the new installation.
