    How do you remove the alternator for the 2008 Dodge Durango? Posted by Customer

    For HEMI engines, disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery then remove the drivebelt. Disconnect the field wire electrical connector from the field terminal. Unsnap the plastic insulator cap from the B+ output terminal, remove the battery cable retaining nut from the B+ output terminal and disconnect the battery cable from the B+ output terminal. Remove the alternator mounting bolts and remove the alternator. If you're replacing the alternator, take the old alternator with you to make sure that you obtain the correct unit. Installation is the reverse of removal.
