Start by disconnecting the battery cable from the negative terminal. Then, remove the drivebelt and disconnect the battery cable from the B+ output terminal and the field wire electrical connector from the field terminal. Remove the upper and lower mounting bolts to take out the alternator. Installation is the reverse of removal, and don't forget to check the charging voltage to ensure the alternator is functioning correctly.

Raise the front of the vehicle and remove the middle engine splash shield. Disconnect the battery cable from the B+ output terminal and the field wire electrical connector from the field terminal. Remove the lower alternator mounting bolts and take out the alternator. Reverse the steps for installation and check the charging voltage.

Working underneath the engine, remove the alternator support bracket nut and bolt, and then remove the support bracket. Remove the upper and lower mounting bolts to take out the alternator. Reverse the steps for installation and check the charging voltage.
