Inspect the windshield wiper and blade assembly regularly for damage and loose parts. Clean wiper blades with mild detergent to remove road film. Check and tighten bolts, nuts, and fasteners during blade checks. Replace blade assemblies if elements are damaged. To remove front wiper blades on early models, lift the release lever and slide off the blade assembly. On later models, press the release lever and slide out the wiper-blade assembly. For rear blades, follow the same process. On later models, swing the wiper blade away from the arm, press against the stop to unsnap the pivot pin. Compare new and old blade assemblies before reinstalling. Wet the windshield and check operation.
