To check the transmission mount, raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Insert a large screwdriver or prybar into the space between the transmission extension housing and the crossmember, attempting to pry the transmission up slightly. The transmission should not move much, and the rubber in the center of the mount should fully insulate it from the mount bracket surrounding it. For replacement, support the transmission with a jack, then remove the bolts attaching the crossmember to the chassis and mount, as well as the bolts connecting the mount to the transmission. Raise the transmission slightly with the jack and remove the mount. Installation follows the reverse of the removal procedure, ensuring all fasteners are tightened.

Remove the engine mount-to-subframe nuts, raise the engine with the jack, and then remove the mount-to-engine bracket bolts.

The first step is to disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery, then raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands.
