Disconnect the hood ajar sensor's electrical connector if present. Remove the bolts holding the hood latch to the radiator support and detach the latch. Adjust the hood's position by loosening the bolts and moving the latch. Detach the hood release cable and remove the latch. To install, reverse the removal process. Release the cable end and slide it into the hood latch's keyhole slot. Remove the cable from the latch. In the passenger compartment, detach the hood release cable and handle assembly. Remove the rubber cable insulator under the dash. Connect a string to the cable, detach it and pull it through the firewall. Connect the string to the new cable and pull it through the firewall. Reverse the removal process to complete the installation.
