    How do you disconnect the accelerator cable for the 2004 Chrysler Town & Country? Posted by Customer

    Start by rotating the throttle linkage cam to the wide-open position and disengaging the accelerator cable from the slot in the throttle lever cam. Squeeze the retaining ears together and disengage the accelerator cable from the cable bracket. Reach up behind the accelerator pedal and disengage the retainer from the top of the accelerator pedal. Remove the horseshoe-shaped retainer clip that retains the cable grommet to its hole in the firewall and work the cable grommet out of the hole. Finally, pull out the cable from the engine compartment side of the firewall.
