On Dakota models, open the console lid, remove the tray, and take out the bolts securing the console to the floorpan. For Durango models, remove the fasteners located at the side and front of the console. Take out the inserts from the cup holders, noting that Dakota models have only the front cup holder while Durango models feature both front and rear cup holders, and then remove the front and rear console mounting bolts. In Durango models equipped with rear heat/air, disconnect the electrical connector for the rear blower. Unplug any electrical connectors and take the console out of the vehicle. Installation follows the reverse order of removal.
