On the same note, the door latch strikers should be applied with thin layer of grease to reduce chance of wear and to ensure free movement. This is also recommended to spray especial graphite lubricant on the door and trunk (or liftgate) locks.

Also, the door latch strikers require a thin layer of grease on them to reduce mechanical friction hence preventing rapid wearing out. Other areas that should be lubricated include the door and trunk locks that should be lubes using the spray on graphite lubricant.
