Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands, then remove the front wheel. Next, take out the fasteners retaining the fender inner splash shield by removing the pin retainers. After that, remove the headlight housing. For Dakota models, the radiator grille should be removed, followed by the cowl cover. If the right fender is being removed, take out the battery, battery tray, and the fasteners securing the air filter housing; if the left fender is being removed, remove the fasteners securing the power distribution center to the fender. Proceed to remove the fender mounting bolts, then detach the fender, ensuring an assistant supports it to prevent damage to surrounding body panels. If the right side fender is being removed, disconnect the antenna. Installation is the reverse of removal.
