Remove all tools and materials from under the vehicle and lower it. Remove the oil filler cap from the engine valve cover and pour the specified type and amount of new oil into the engine using a funnel. Wait for the oil to drain down to the pan and check the level on the dipstick. Start the engine and check for leaks at the oil pan drain plug and around the oil filter. If necessary, tighten them with more force. Wait for the oil to drain back down into the pan and recheck the oil level on the dipstick. During the first few trips after an oil change, check for leaks and monitor the oil level.
