First of all, to service the clutch release system, disconnect the negative battery terminal and remove the clip attaching the clutch master cylinder pushrod to the clutch pedal. Inspect and replace the bushing if needed. Unplug the clutch pedal position switch and secure the clutch fluid reservoir cap. Remove the reservoir nuts and the clutch master cylinder mounting nuts. Detach the cylinder from the firewall and secure it. Raise the vehicle, remove the release cylinder mounting nuts, and detach it from the transmission. If replacing the entire system, lift it from the engine compartment. Reverse these steps to install.
