    Using a wood-block, support the brake pedal in the fully up position. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it at the front of the frame members with jackstands, then remove the wheel. Remove the brake caliper assembly and rotor without disconnecting the brake hose, but support it to avoid damage. Disconnect the tie-rod at the steering knuckle. Separate the steering knuckle and knuckle arm from the balljoints. With the assembly on the bench, remove the mounting bolts holding the splash shield, adaptor, steering knuckle arm, and steering knuckle together, then separate the components and remove the dust seal. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring to tighten the mounting nuts and bolts as work proceeds.
