Remove the door trim panel and armrest if applicable, along with the door access panel. Working through the access hole, take out the nut and screw that retain the handle. Disconnect the handle linkage from the lock assembly, then remove the outside handle. Installation follows the reverse order of removal, and it's important to check the handle operation before putting the trim and access panels back. If the linkage needs adjustment, loosen the door latch lever adjusting screw while accessing it through the inch access hole in the latch face, then cycle the outside handle push button and tighten the adjusting screw. When installing the latch linkage on the right side, ensure the part with the paint mark if applicable is positioned towards the bottom of the door, while on the left side, it should be towards the top. To remove the latch, take out the mounting screws from the outside end panel of the door and then withdraw the latch through the access hole. Installation is again the reverse of removal.
