The electric side-view mirrors can be adjusted up-and-down and left-to-right using a driver's side switch on the left door trim panel. Models with factory-installed dual power mirrors feature a heater grid behind the mirror glass to clear fog, ice, or snow, and if the heater grid fails, the entire mirror must be replaced. The heater grid switches and heated mirror system indicator light are part of the heater/air conditioning control panel on the dash, and if any of these components fail, the heater/air conditioning control assembly should be replaced. The power mirror control switch includes a LEFT-RIGHT selector to direct voltage to the desired side-view mirror. With the ignition in the ACC position, the windows should be rolled down while operating the mirror control switch through all functions for both mirrors, listening for the sound of the electric motors. If the motors are audible but the mirror glass does not move, the drive mechanism inside the mirror is likely defective, requiring mirror replacement. If there is no sound from the mirrors, the fuse in one of the fuse and relay boxes should be checked. After reconnecting the switch, the wire from the switch to ground should be located, and a jumper wire connected between this wire and ground to test if the mirror operates normally, indicating a faulty ground connection if it does. If the mirror remains inoperative, it should be removed to check for voltage at the mirror wires with the ignition ON and the selector switch positioned appropriately, ensuring voltage is present at one of the switch-to-mirror wires in each switch position except the neutral position. If voltage is absent in any position, the wiring between the mirror and control switch should be examined for opens and shorts. If voltage is confirmed, the mirror should be tested off the vehicle with jumper wires, replacing it if it fails this test.

To replace the inside mirror, remove the setscrew and slide the mirror off the support base on the windshield. If the mirror is equipped with an automatic day/night feature, disconnect the electrical connector. Reinstallation follows the reverse process.
