Disconnect and isolate the negative cable to prevent accidental contact with the battery negative terminal. Pry out the plastic caps and remove the wiper arm nuts, marking their positions for easier reinstallation, then take off the wiper arms, ensuring to draw or paint a line across the stud and wiper arm to maintain their relationship to the windshield. Remove the windshield cowl cover grille. Disconnect the wiper motor harness connector. Take out the windshield wiper module mounting bolts or nuts and detach the wiper module assembly from the vehicle. Remove the wiper motor mounting screws and wiper arm nut, then separate the arm from the motor and the motor from the assembly. Activate the wiper motor before installation to ensure it is in the Park position, with installation being the reverse of removal.
