Two brake caliper assemblies are used in different models, made by Continental Teves and TRW. They are not interchangeable. Before replacing brake pads, remove some fluid from the master cylinder reservoir. Loosen lug nuts, raise the vehicle, remove wheels, and work on one brake at a time. Clean the caliper, push the piston back, replace brake pads, inspect the caliper and disc, and lubricate guide pins. Repeat for the other wheel, reinstall wheels, lower the vehicle, tighten lug nuts, refill brake fluid, pump the brake pedal, and check fluid level. Test brakes before normal use. The process is similar for rear brakes.

To make room for the new pads, push the caliper piston using a piece of wood, and siphon some brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir or prepare for fluid overflow. Apply a thin film of Mopar Multipurpose Lubricant or high-temperature brake grease to the adapter-to-brake pad and caliper mating surfaces, avoiding contact with the pad lining material, gasket surface, or brake disc.
