    To remove the trunk lid, first take off the trim panel fasteners and disconnect any attached cables. Mark around the hinge bolts for alignment. With assistance, remove the hinge bolts and lift off the lid. To install, reverse these steps. The Trunk Lid Lift Supports don't need removal for this process. If needed, prop open the lid, pry out the lift support locking caps and remove the supports. Replace supports as a pair, one side at a time. Reverse steps to install. For the latch, remove the trim panel, disconnect the electrical connector, remove the latch fasteners and the latch. Reverse steps to install.
