Remove the trim panel, followed by the inner and outer weatherstrips, and then take out the vent window assembly. Lower the glass until the regulator arm can be detached from the glass lift channel, and disengage the regulator arm from the channel. Next, remove the glass from the door. If the vehicle is equipped with a door-mounted stereo speaker, it should be removed to access the regulator. For vehicles with power windows, take out the down stop bumper bracket and lower it as far as possible. Remove the three regulator mounting bolts and lift the regulator out of the access hole; for later model vehicles with riveted regulator assemblies, use a 3/4-inch drill bit to drill out and remove the rivets. Reinstallation is the reverse of removal, utilizing a 3/4-20 x 1/2 bolt and nut for rivet-mounted regulators.
