    Q:
How do you replace the air filter element in the 1984 Chrysler Laser? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the air filter element, follow these steps: Loosen the clamps on the hose between the air cleaner housing and the throttle body. Release the air cleaner clips and pull the hose off the throttle body. Lift the cover and hose off the housing. On non-turbocharged models, the cover can be rotated up without disconnecting the hose. Lift the air filter element out of the housing. On turbocharged models, the filter element can be lifted out of the housing after completely removing the cover. On non-turbocharged models, the cover can be rotated away from the filter after loosening the hose clamp. To check the filter, hold it up to sunlight or place a flashlight behind the element. If you can see light coming through the paper element, the filter is usable. Replace the PCV filter element if it is dirty. Clean the inside of the air cleaner housing with a rag. Place the old filter (if in good condition) or the new filter (if the specified interval has elapsed) into the air cleaner housing with the screen facing up. Ensure it seats properly in the bottom of the housing. If the hose was removed from the throttle body, loosely install the clamp and then push the hose onto the throttle body. Align the upper and lower halves of the air cleaner housing and connect the clips. Tighten the clamp around the hose at the throttle body securely.

What is the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) system for the 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan? Posted by Customer
    A:
The PCV system reduces hydrocarbon emissions by scavenging vapors from the crankcase by circulating fresh air from the air cleaner through the crankcase, where it mixes with blow-by gases and is then rerouted through a PCV valve to the intake manifold.
