How to remove and install the trunk latch assembly?

Open the trunk and remove the latch trim cover by removing the latch trim cover fasteners. Scribe a line around the trunk lid latch assembly for a reference point to aid the installation procedure. Disconnect the electrical connector by removing the latch electrical connector. Detach the mounting fasteners and remove the latch. Installation is the reverse of removal.
