Chrysler Imperial Throttle Body

The Throttle Body in Chrysler Imperial automobiles regulates the air intake in the car's engines through a butterfly valve that opens in response to the position of the accelerator pedal. There may still be Throttle Body Injection (TBI), which is a crude form of fuel injection that contains one or two injectors located above the throttle plates in older car designs. Some current vehicles apply multi-port fuel injection, in which the fuel supply is distinct from the throttle body. ETC has become quite popular and has replaced the mechanical linkage most of the time due to its reliability and integration capability with other safety technologies. Throttle bodies are quite durable but may be availed for cleaning or replacement as some of its components such as the TPS sensor or IAC valves wears out and is deposits formed on them are replaceable.
