Q: How to Replace the EGR Tube and EGR Valve of the EGR System?
A: The EGR system reduces toxic gases by introducing exhaust gases into the intake manifold and on 2.4L four-cylinder models, the EGR valve/transducer assembly is located at the left rear corner of the cylinder head. To replace the components, disconnect the electrical connector, vacuum hose, and back pressure hose. Remove the EGR valve/transducer assembly, EGR valve tube, and EGR valve. For the 3.3L/3.8L V6 models, remove the EGR tube and valve/transducer assembly. Install the components in reverse order. Ensure to tighten the new gaskets.
