A: Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the throttle body. Remove the two TP sensor mounting screws and remove the TP sensor. Remove and inspect the old TP sensor O-ring. If it's cracked, dried out, torn or otherwise deteriorated or damaged, replace it. When installing the TP sensor, make sure that the new O-ring is in place, then align the lugs on the backside of the sensor with the blade on the end of the throttle shaft. The blade MUST fit between these two lugs or the TP sensor will not operate correctly. Once the blade on the throttle shaft is centered between the TP sensor lugs, rotate the TP sensor as necessary to align the mounting holes in the sensor with the mounting holes in the throttle body. Installation is otherwise the reverse of removal.
