Removal and installation are opposite processes; that is, installation involves the opposite action. In case of models with electrochromic, rain sensing or telematics delete the covers to expose the wiring connectors, unplug them and to remove the mirror assembly, turn it by 90 degrees clockwise. Reinstallation also operates in the opposite way and if the base of support comes off from the windshield it can be fixed with the help of the adhesive kit available at car part stores but the surfaces must be clean first. For those models having electrochromic and telematics features or standard inside mirrors, turn the setscrew to unscrew the mirror assembly from the bracket until it can be pulled up slowly and removed and ensure that any electrical connections are disconnected before the mirrors are removed.
