- Q: How to Remove and Install the IAT Sensor on Dodge Dakota?A: On 3.7L V6 and 4.7L V8 engines, the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor is located on the left side of the intake manifold. On Hemi engines, it is at the right front corner of the air resonator box. To disconnect the connector, depress the tab and pull off. To remove, lift the release tab and turn the sensor 1/4-turn counterclockwise. Inspect the O-ring for damage and replace if needed. To install, insert and rotate clockwise 1/4-turn, making sure the release tab locks it in. Installation is reverse of removal.
